This is the 49th season for the Walnut Creek Swim Club.
WCSC has grown from an average of 140 swimmers between 1961-2000 to an average of 190 between 2001-2009. The team in 2009 was the largest ever at over 200 swimmers.
WCSC has won 16 County Championships in four different decades. WCSC has won 7 out of the last 14 County Championships, the last being 2006.
WCSC continues to be one of the few teams who participates in both A and B meets so all swimmers regardless of their ability have an equal opportunity to grow.
WCSC is among an elite group of teams who attract large numbers of teen age swimmers, many of who swim their entire careers with WCSC. Last year WCSC had over 60 teen age swimmers on its roster.
WCSC's staff has always included several professional educators. This year's spring and summer staff will consist of at least seven veteran school teachers.
