Welcome to WCSC for 2010!

Background Information

Picture of WCSC painted on kids back Walnut Creek Swim Club is sponsored by the City of Walnut Creek and is one of the oldest and finest "recreational" swim teams in the county. With so many good swimmers in our area, there are many different levels of competition available. "Rec" swimming is a good way to get started in competitive swimming. Rec swimmers cannot participate in any other (usually more competitive) swim meets during the same year that they swim for a rec team.

Our team has approximately 200 swimmers from ages 4 to 18. Our head coaches this year are Brad Hoy & John Tsubota. They are assisted by four additional age level coaches all of whom swam for WCSC! For the spring season we have the help of local school teachers during the school year and they have many years of experience teaching swimming to children of all ages.

Our team has a long and proud tradition of winning. We placed first in the All-City Meet for 12 consecutive years and we have also won the County Meet several times in recent years.

In addition to swim meets and regular practice, we also have a tradition of FUN with many opportunities for swimmers and families to participate in social activities.

We are not a private swim club, so after the payment of city fees, there is no private club membership or initiation. There are also discounts for families with 3 or more children on the team. See the registration packet on the Registration Page for the entire fee schedule and to learn how to sign up for the team.
